Let me tell you a story
Of an island floating in the sea
Of surf and sand and sea and sex
You’ll maybe see it on T.V.
But of this little island, floating in the mist
Fate has now dealt yet another bitter twist
For we’re going continental
By sea-bed cable link
Because they say it’s cheaper and
The power station’s on the blink
But think oh noble islanders
Upon this twisted fate
And try to turn the tables before
It’s too bloney late.
